VENUE HUNTING

As what I've said on my earlier post, I continued my venue hunting on the internet and my next location after Antipolo and Cainta was Marikina since its accessible on both parties. I've googled and googled and lots of names came out. LaVeranda, Water Nymph Resort, Cobo Pavillon are the ones striked me.

La veranda is a garden thing place. well ..i'm not much of a garden-fan so i did not like it plus its expensive. Here's how it looks:

On the other hand Water Nymph Resort is i think a private venue.making it more expensive than La veranda. So hindi na ko nangarap.but the place is gorgeous.

Cobo Pavillon was also a resort venue. Renting the ballroom /pavillon alone gives you an access up until the patio with a gazebo on it. so you will have this:

 
The place is quite good with a nice view. The rate shoots our budget, it can accommodate our target guests plus the person who will attend your inquiries, ms. Lyna, is so nice and soft spoken. She would even give the couple an extra hour for the event.so instead of 4hrs she would give you 5hrs without any additional payment. She said it serves as her gift to the bride and groom.
I was about to put a big check on this venue until I had a chit chat with Karen, arts youngest sister. she recommend a place in Marikina called Cafe Kapitan. I quickly googled the name and to my surprise it was the old house that i've been seeing when i was working somewhere in marikina way back 2007-2008. Back then i thought of it as a perfect venue for an old style wedding.

 I quickly inquired through text, i asked for the rates. the next morning i received an email from Cafe Kapitan. There are 3 venues to choose from, the Cafe Kapitan Restaurant itself good for 70pax, the Galleria which is good for 150pax and the Bulwagang Bayani which can hold i guess 300pax. The rates are quiet good so art and I decided to visit the Place.

2012

     wow.. its 2012..this year will be a tough but exciting year for me and ART, because this will be our preparation for our BIG DAY.. the wedding ... actually we started planning December2011. we went to ocular 3 venues already  for the  reception. First was the "Sweet Harmony" at Taytay Rizal near Puregold Taytay. It was good, it has like 5 venues to choose from and is near from our planned church, but unfortunately it was a bit pricey for our budget. Here's how it looks:

 this was also our choice,the Majestic Upper Room, but not quite good for our budget.

 and this was MY choice. the Tent, but art did not approved it because its more expensive than the first two.

the next venue we visited was the "L'Aquinum Garden" somewhere in Masinag. It shoots our budget, but the poste from the inside doesn't look quite good . well, we're still thinking about it we're not crossing this out yet. here's how it looks:

the last venue we visited was the space near the Clubhouse of Village East. nothing too special for me. just an air-conditioned  room that is,infairness, spacious.
The rest of my venue hunting continues on the internet. I still have to ask art if he wants to ocular those places.
For the caterer, I leave that to art to decide which is which. Well he wants an unlimited food. :) he wants it to be affordable..and the most important, he wants the taste PERFECT. so where does he think we could find that???? hehehe...... he wants WOWLU, its been their family's choice.from birthdays, xmas parties and christening i guess.
For the Photos & Videos we decided to ask, the former student of STI Ortigas-Cainta, Lordween "Ody" Monte a multimedia arts graduate, to give us the rates. He quickly gave the package lists. December2012 seems to be long.... but not for us i think.we're having lots of fun preparing although there are some things we don't really agree with.but that's part of it.. GOD is with us i know..

ink & needle

yesterday had been a very tough day for me..... I had a very extreme experience which drove me to do something that would ease the pain......."temporary PAIN could somehow replace the permanent PAIN"....
this morning i woke up with a heavy eyes.. but I stood thank HIM for another day..and took a bath..after that I had my clothes on..standing in front of my mirror I thought i need some changes .. I qiuckly get my sisters hair-iron and curl my hair....and after doing so, I thought what a sweet change...heres how it looks..........------> sorry "BLURDO",, irene chose this pic for me.

first changed for the day was successful.. I went to office with a happy NEW look..even though I experienced  a very heavy traffic along ortigas extencion.....sitting at the fx, irene texted me. her text urged me to ask her out,"girl bonding"..... and I suddenly asked her of having a tattoo....she quickly said YES... I felt happy...arriving at the office i quickly ask may ate to ask his husband of how much would it cost us to have a small colored tattoo..I had an answer and quickly texted irene about it..then i sat at my computer and searched for a perfect design...and here's what strikes me the most.. --->

I'm so excited........... after irene was finally got out of the heavy traffic along imelda ave..we met at KFC bigr junction... it was to our luck that my sister and her family was also there. It was actually my sister's husband who referred us to a tattoo artist living near the area. Without anymore delays, we went straight to Rommel Napay's house.

i was actually torn between the SKULL  and CUPCAKE design...at first i setteled with the SKULL design but before kuya Rommel touched my skin with the needle,,,,i quickly changed my mind.. and asked him to do the CUPCAKE design instead..he draw it on my other ankle with a pen and the next thing i know my skin has a permanent ink on it...... oh no............................"yari ako sa mama ko!!!!!!!!!" but it was fullfilling ....fun and ouchie.........."kayurin ba nmn balat mo"...... here are some of the pictures... ^_^

 

im happy with the result........ the colors were perfect......the whole thing was perfect......im so proud of myself...this tattoo was a big help for the stress i had..........

next to me was irene.....hers is a scorpion design.... ARTE!!!!!! it was her zodiac sign..

first time sa blogger....excited and still thinking of what to post... anyway my title was inspired by my cute OONA ... miss you oona...  next time i'll post a pic of her.... btw my blog was created with the influence of a special friend... and a blogger Ms. Irene L. Dare.(thanks) ^_^
i'm creating my blog at starbucks.. with irene using her laptop...her drinks.. Iced Caramel Macchiato,, mine .........fruitas (watermelon) hahahaha... bawala na coffee eh, the last time i had one i was rushed at TMC due to hyperventilation... well the coffee thing doesnt really matter  cause' im not a coffee lover..
